The Pulse of IT By Design What Our People Are Actually Saying

The Pulse of IT By Design: What Our People Are Actually Saying

I started IT By Design with one belief.

If you build the right culture, everything else follows.

Every time I listen to an episode of our Culture and Career Corner podcast I am reminded why that belief still holds. Not because of what we say about our culture from the outside. But because of what our own people say about it when nobody is asking them to perform.

This episode brought voices I was genuinely moved by. Xaviery Arevalo opened the conversation with a line that said everything. Trisha from our Philippines office and Prince from our Noida office carried it forward. And Akanksha and Swati brought it home with a perspective on AI that every leader in this industry needs to hear.

How Our People Describe What We Have Built

Xaviery Arevalo set the tone before the formal conversation even began.

Supportive. Collaborative. Focused on growth.

Three words. No corporate language. No performance. Just an honest description of what it feels like to work here.

Nikki said that the culture at ITBD is a community built on trust, equal treatment, and growth.

Anamika, our host, added the layer that matters most to me as a founder.

If you are making an impact at IT By Design you will be seen and heard.

That is not a tagline. That is a commitment. And hearing our own people say it unprompted is the only validation that matters.

The opening moments of this episode also captured something I think about constantly as a leader.

Taking ownership of every task. Treating every piece of work like it truly matters. Building discipline through consistency.

That is the standard we hold ourselves to at IT By Design. And it was our people who articulated it. Not me.

From Password Resets to Real Impact

Trisha joined IT By Design in August of last year. She described her career journey in one word.

Inspiring.

Not because she arrived with a full skillset. She was honest about that. When she started the only thing she really knew was how to reset a password in Active Directory.

That honesty is exactly what I love about the people we attract. They are not pretending to be more than they are. They are betting on what they can become.

With the support of her team and leaders Trisha built her confidence and expanded her skills in ways she never imagined when she first walked in. Today she can troubleshoot a wide range of issues that go far beyond a password reset.

That is not just a career story. That is a culture story. And it is the story I want every person considering IT By Design to read.

What Makes IT By Design Different

When we asked Prince to describe the IT By Design culture he did not reach for corporate language.

He said it is honestly super awesome.

And then he explained why. There is always something new to learn, build, or explore. The people are friendly, helpful, and collaborative while still being professional. And the HAPI values are not just words on a wall. He said he sees them alive in the culture every single day.

His favorite of the five is humility.

Because humility gives you the opportunity to grow within the team and learn from everyone around you. Whether they work with you directly or not.

That resonated deeply with me. Humility is not weakness. It is the muscle that keeps you curious, keeps you open, and keeps you growing. It is the foundation of every high performing team I have ever been part of and it is the value I am most proud to see alive in our people.

Prince recently completed his first year at IT By Design. Happy work anniversary. Many more to come.

AI Is Not a Threat. It Is a Tool.

The conversation naturally shifted to AI because that is where every conversation is heading right now.

Akanksha from our service delivery team said something I want every leader to hear.

AI helps organizations work smarter, faster, and more efficiently. It reduces manual effort, minimizes errors, and frees people up to focus on higher value work. And when AI handles the repetitive and the routine the humans behind it can show up with more presence, more personalization, and more impact for the people they serve.

Swati added the perspective that I think gets to the heart of it.

AI is a tool. If you use it as the right tool and not a threat it can free up a lot of time and bandwidth so that everyone can focus on high impact work rather than the same repetitive tasks every single day.

She is right. We all have the same 24 hours. AI does not change that. What it changes is how much of those hours go toward work that actually moves things forward.

At IT By Design we are not just talking about AI adoption. We are actively training our people through our L&D team to make sure everyone is equipped and AI ready for what comes next. Our team is not waiting for AI to happen to them. They are learning to make it work for them.

What This Episode Reminded Me

Culture is not something you announce.

It is something your people describe when you are not in the room.

Xaviery describing IT By Design as supportive, collaborative, and growth focused. Trisha calling her journey inspiring. Prince saying the culture is super awesome and meaning every word of it. Akanksha and Swati articulating exactly why AI matters without fear or hesitation.

That is the culture I set out to build. And conversations like this one remind me that it is alive and growing across every office, every time zone, and every team.

This is what IT By Design is built on.

People who take ownership. People who treat every task like it truly matters. People who build discipline through consistency and grow through humility.

That is the standard. And our people are setting it every day.
