Every week on the Career & Culture Corner podcast, I sit down with some of the amazing people who make IT By Design what it is. These conversations are my favorite part of the week because they remind me why we’ve worked so hard to build more than just a company—we’ve built a community.
This time, I had a conversation with Himanshu, Somesh, and Rajneet—three incredible team members who exemplify what makes ITBD different.
I flashed back to our annual retreat—watching everyone come together, celebrate, and uplift one another. That’s when it hit me—this is ITBD. Not just a workplace. Not just a team. But a family that chooses to stay, grow, and build something bigger than themselves.
When I asked Somesh Harsan, our Social Media Manager, to describe ITBD’s culture in one word, he chose growth. And it’s easy to see why. He’s on a journey of continuous learning, evolving in a dynamic environment that challenges him to push boundaries. “You have to keep yourself up to date,” he shared—a simple yet powerful reminder that in any field—marketing, sales, cybersecurity, or beyond—growth never stops.
For Himanshu, ITBD is all about collaboration. He started in December 2022, and in just a year, he moved into a senior role—not just because of his design skills but because of how he works with his team. “Collaboration with the team, with leadership—it all leads to growth,” he said. And it’s true. The best ideas don’t come from working in silos; they come from bouncing ideas off one another, staying open to feedback, and solving problems together.
Rajneet Kaur, our Event Specialist, summed it up in one word: transparency. She spoke about how open communication is at the heart of ITBD—where every voice is heard, and every idea is valued.
The Power of Resilience and more…
The lessons shared by Rajneet, Himanshu, and Somesh go beyond professional growth—they shape how we approach life itself.
Rajneet’s emphasis on adaptability resonates deeply with me as I prepare for my Everest Base Camp trek. Success in anything isn’t about speed—it’s about resilience and what we call GRIT.
Himanshu’s perspective on resilience reminds me that setbacks are stepping stones to growth. Whether in design or leadership, perseverance fuels innovation. Their insights on asking the right questions reinforce a belief I’ve always held—great leaders don’t have all the answers, but they remain endlessly curious.
At ITBD, we have a saying:
Teams that eat together, stay together. But teams that dance together? They create magic.
Ending our podcast with a quick dance move has now become a tradition. It may seem small, but it represents something bigger—a workplace where people not only work together but also celebrate together.
And that’s what truly sets us apart.
