Culture, Commitment & Career Growth: A Conversation with Keith & Amit

Some stories don’t just reflect a company’s culture: they illuminate its foundation.

I had a conversation with Keith Rosario and Amit Dubey, two exceptional leaders from our Service Delivery team, on a recent episode of our Culture & Career Corner podcast. A really intimate and motivating discussion on leadership, development, and what it really means to be a member of a people-first culture ensued.

Two Journeys, One Purpose

Keith joined IT By Design in September 2021, a month he’ll never forget. Not only did he begin his journey with us, but he also welcomed his first child just two weeks later. That timing alone made his ITBD story feel uniquely personal from the start. From day one, Keith says he felt more than welcomed, seen, valued, and supported. That emotional connection carried through every chapter of his journey, and it’s something that’s shaped both his leadership style and his loyalty.

While Amit’s path has been comparatively recent: just 18 months in, but equally impactful. As a Service Engineering Manager, he brought years of technical experience but found something different at ITBD: a culture that balances excellence with empathy, innovation with intention. In his words, this has been more than a job: it’s been a space to reflect, grow, and lead with purpose.

A Culture You Live

What became clear throughout this conversation is that culture at ITBD isn’t aspirational; it’s operational. Both Keith and Amit highlighted how accountability, humility, and mutual respect show up every day in the way we work, the way we lead, and the way we treat each other.

This is an organization where birthdays are celebrated, where families are welcomed into our workplace, and where our Life By Design sessions are more than just calendar invites: they’re moments of real connection, reflection, and personal development. Those Friday sessions, led by Sunny himself, consistently remind us that leadership is about presence, not just position.

For Keith, watching his young son sit at his desk during Family Day was a symbol of belonging. For Amit, seeing leaders lead with care and consistency reinforced the importance of alignment.

Leading with Presence. Connecting with Heart.

It’s reassuring to discover that one aspect which deeply resonated from both conversations was just how approachable and involved our leadership team is. Whether it’s mentoring, listening to feedback, or modeling our values through action, leadership at ITBD is embedded in every layer of our culture. There’s no hierarchy when it comes to recognition or respect. From engineers to executives, everyone has a voice, and everyone is heard.

This isn’t something either of them had experienced in previous roles, and it’s something they believe sets ITBD apart in a very real way.

Growth Through Service & Strategy

From a business perspective, both leaders are deeply focused on delivering not just service, but partnership. Keith explained how, in the MSP environment, customer retention is more than just a metric; it reflects the value offered. He underlined the significance of developing long-term connections over rapid victories, as well as how every decision they make is based on a sustainable client impact approach.

Amit echoed the same sentiments as Keith, while including a forward-looking perspective. His current focus is on upskilling teams to stay ahead of the curve as AI rapidly changes the landscape. A requirement that’s absolutely essential to stay relevant.

That blend of practical leadership and strategic foresight is what makes ITBD’s service delivery approach so effective, and so human.

Life Lessons That Define Leaders

As the conversation came to a close, we looked at the personal beliefs that drive both Keith and Amit: teachings that form not only professions, but also individuals.

Keith’s major points were clear: lead with empathy, be completely accountable, and achieve balance in all areas of life, including job, family, health, and legacy.

For Keith, the key takeaways were clear: lead with empathy, be fully accountable, and maintain balance across all areas of life which are career, family, health, and legacy. These weren’t abstract lessons: they were lived, mentored, and deeply reflected right here within our walls.

Amit discussed the strength of dedication, the value of humility, and the need of leading with purpose. He also discussed how the consistency of our company-wide initiatives, particularly those focused on AI preparation and personal development, has provided space for clear growth.

Both leaders credited the culture here for helping them discover those lessons.

The ITBD Difference

This story served as a reminder of what really drives our development at ITBD: not only strategies or systems, but also the individuals that arrive each day with a purpose. Leaders like Keith and Amit perfectly embody what we stand for. They are responsible, modest, growth-oriented, and committed to a cause greater than themselves.

Their journeys show us that when you create space for people to grow, listen deeply, lead authentically, and embed your values into daily operations. Culture doesn’t need to be taught. It just happens.

We’re proud to have Keith and Amit on this journey and even prouder of the culture we continue to build together.

If you’re prepared to lead with purpose and grow with meaning, and you’re searching for more than simply a job, you have a seat at our table.

Because here, culture doesn’t just come into existence. It’s inherent. It’s designed.
