Girl Power

ITBD’s Culture & Career Corner – Girl Power!

This week’s episode of “Culture and Career Corner” podcast is all about celebrating girl power! Four ITBD team members – Dio, Tiffani, Akshee, and Jigyasa – share their experiences with host Sunny Kaila and talk about what makes their career journeys unique.

The first person, Akshee, began as a recruiter and transitioned into an HR executive role. Her journey has been incredible, filled with gratitude for the opportunities and support she received from leadership and colleagues.

Tiffani grew up on a farm in Michigan, where a strong work ethic was instilled in her from a young age. She worked multiple jobs and internships during college while managing a Wendy’s restaurant. The experience taught her valuable skills in teamwork and adaptability. After college, Tiffani worked in marketing coordination for a fish oil company and later in event management for Gordon Food Service.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic affected their role, leading to its dissolution. Determined to find her passion again, Tiffani discovered “IT By Design” and returned to event management. With nine months of experience, she reflects on the fast-paced and fulfilling nature of their role.

The next person, Dio, shares her journey as a working mom and executive assistant to the CEO. She initially felt anxious about working closely with the CEO but found immense support and guidance from Sunny, which contributed to her personal and professional growth. Dio’s educational background and previous work experience in the B2B SaaS space shaped her career path.

Having experienced a less-than-ideal work environment in a previous company, Jigyasa sought cultural fit and growth opportunities. Joining “IT By Design” as a talent marketing manager fulfilled her aspirations. The company provided an environment where she could explore various marketing aspects, including branding, communications, graphics, and podcasting. Her journey with ITBD has been fulfilling, allowing her to grow beyond the initial role and expand her professional capabilities.

These stories of girl power demonstrate the significance of personal and professional development, as well as the value of gratitude and seizing opportunities for growth.
