Poonam and Allan, two professionals with over 15 years of experience in their respective fields, share their journey and the importance of company culture at IT By Design. Poonam started her career in recruitment and gradually moved to human resources, while Allan began as an operations specialist in the IT industry. Both of them have been with ITBD for over a year and have found the experience fulfilling and enriching.

In this episode of “Culture and Career Corner” podcast, they talk about ITBD’s culture, describing it as collaborative, inclusive, and supportive. Employees are encouraged to work together, share ideas, and learn from each other. There is a strong emphasis on employee wellbeing, with initiatives such as the “Life by Design” sessions held across the organization each week. Continuous learning and improvement are also encouraged through various training sessions and mentorship opportunities.

Allan emphasizes the diverse nature of ITBD’s culture, working with colleagues from different walks of life, including those from the US and India. He uses two Filipino words to describe the culture: “Pakikisama” and “Bayanihan.” Pakikisama means getting along with people regardless of their social status, while Bayanihan refers to extending a helping hand to others, even when it’s not your duty.

Poonam and Allan also share their top three life lessons. Poonam believes in lifelong learning, being confident in your abilities, and maintaining a positive outlook. Allan’s guiding principles include staying true to oneself, continuously learning and growing, and always being ready to adapt to changes.
